The candles are burning bright tonight in Columbus. Senators and Representatives are still debating Sub HB 318. I'm listening to the debate online at the OhioChannel.org. The Internet is a wonderful thing....... I wish I was there listening to the debate live, but watching it streaming live on the Internet is the next best thing.
I've embedded a portion of the testimony - this clip is from Senator Seitz. He thinks the name of HB318 is all wrong - it does not protect education funding for non-public schools and he has just a few things to say about that. Senator Seitz never is lacking for words - tonight he references Superman, the Godfather, Marie Antoinette and the 1974 hit song "You ain't seen nothing yet", by Bachman-Turner Overdrive.
Enjoy.

Seitz is right. All this does is add to the problem and penalize taxpayers for government excess. Schools should start trimming expenses now.
